I assume John McCain drank too much spirits while getting his military education ... so he missed quite a lot of important classes and therefore was able to be shot down three times in one day - wasting three expensive airplanes and, finally, having come to rest in a vietnamese prison camp??? Back in the U.S.A. he continued to do what he was the best at - drink whisky and despoil girls, both virgins and wives. So much for his maverick judgment and valuable experience.
